D-Normal/V-Essay online video zine has uploaded its 7th edition. A special edition by Videotage

Steering the video zine open call for the first time, we have received 480 entries from creators around the world. These tiny voices have accumulated to create a grand ocean full of narratives. To view the video zine and start your own voyage, please head to the link in bio.

We will also be hosting a physical showcase in Videotage’s exhibition space in Cattle Depot (Unit 13) from now until 26 July. Every Wednesday to Sunday (from 12 noon to 7pm), the public is welcome to select and appreciate works from the selected entries of this edition. Hope to see you both online and offline!

“Confronted with a tapestry of themes and audiovisual techniques, the vast sea of information weaved in the video essays often makes us feel as though we are on a boat, guided by the creators. Each work is a unique voyage of its own, unfolding, from 00:00 until the final frame, in its own curious way.”

“Here, the speed of your voyage is never the priority; your presence and your willingness to step beyond algorithmic recommendations to explore the unfamiliar are what we treasure most.”

《平地數碼：錄映太奇特刊》現已推出！

本次是錄映太奇首次主理《平地》的公開徵集，從全球各地的創作者一共收集 480 件精彩作品，眾聲相積成論述的浩瀚汪洋。請即前往個人檔案內的《平地》網站，在聲影資訊的大海中淌漾。

從即日起至7月26日，我們也會在錄映太奇會址（牛棚藝術村13號單位）舉辦自選影院。逢週三至日（中午12點至晚上7點），觀眾可在我們的展覽空間隨意選擇精選作品觀賞。期望在線上線下，也能見到大家！

錄像雜誌得以順利推出，有賴各位創作者的踴躍參與和評審的敏銳視角，特此致謝。

「面對紛呈的題材及聲影手法，汪洋般的資訊讓我們彷彿隨創作者掌舵航行。每件作品都是一段獨特的旅程，由好奇促發，隨時間軸 00:00 展開，至尾段終結。」

「在這裡，航行的速度從非首要；你的在場，以及你嘗試跳脫演算法的推薦框架、去探尋陌生領域的意願，這才是我們最珍視的。」
